San Joaquin's Shining Silver Senior Contest is here!
Do you have a senior in your life that serves as a shining example of the term "You're not getting older, you're getting better"? We want to hear about that person. What makes them special to you and to our community? Do they volunteer? Are they active and in great shape? Do they quietly go about helping others? Are they someone's hero? Or are they so special because they are you parent, grand-parent or spouse that makes your life better just by being themselves.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE: Upload a photo and tell your story (in 200 words or less) of a senior you know that deserves recognition.
Contest ends December 20, 2009. A panel of judges from the Lodi News-Sentinel will judge the best entry. The winner will receive a gift basket and be featured in our annual San Joaquin County senior resource directory, Sentinel Silver 2010. All entries will be used in upcoming issues of Sentinel Silver Pages in January, April, July and October.
Entries need to be uploaded to Lodinews.com. Scanning, typing and reproduction services are not available at the Lodi News-Sentinel. All nominations and photos become the property of the Lodi News-Sentinel and Lodinews.com. Lodi News-Sentinel and Lodinews.com, its employees and their immediate families are excluded from participating in the contest.
